Privacy Policy

This one is easy: we don't collect any of your data.

I know. It seems impossible in 2026, but it's true. Here's what that means:

• No accounts. You don't sign up, log in, or give us your email.
• No server-side processing. Good Years Left runs entirely in your browser. Your health information never leaves your device, and I can't ever see it.
• No cookies. We don't set any cookies. If anyone's asking though, (or reading this!), my favorite is Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. For the record.
• No analytics or tracking. I know it will make a marketing person somewhere really sad, but there are no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixels, no third-party scripts that phone home. I genuinely do not know who you are or how you use this tool.
• No database. There is no server storing your data. You can turn off your internet connection, hide in an underground bunker, and the tool will still work. If you close the tab, it's gone.

Your health data is sensitive. It should be private. We should expect all our health tools to work this way.

By using Good Years Left, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool.

This is not medical advice

This is important, so we're being very clear about it:

• Good Years Left is an informational tool, not a medical device, clinical prediction, or professional health service.
• The estimates are built from peer-reviewed population data and published hazard ratios. They reflect statistical averages across large groups, not predictions about you personally.
• Individual outcomes vary enormously. These numbers are a starting point for thinking about your choices, not a diagnosis or prognosis.
• You should consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions. Do not use this tool as a substitute for professional medical advice.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We are not liable for any decisions you make based on this tool's output. The estimates are informational, not prescriptive.

By using this tool, you acknowledge and agree that we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Intellectual property

The Good Years Left tool, including its code, design, methodology, and research compilation, is the intellectual property of Steven Makes Things (Ink and Feet LLC). You're welcome to use the tool and share your results, but please don't copy, redistribute, or resell the tool itself without permission. The research used is linked at the bottom of the tool page. No claims are made about it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Since we have no way to contact you (remember: no accounts, no emails), changes take effect when posted. The date at the top tells you when these terms were last updated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
